MAKING INSPIRATION

Dear Heidi,

I love our secret blog. Well mine...but you're the second biggest part of it. Because I am lacking in inspiration today but promised a post, I decided to make my own inspiration.

My inspiration is YOU.

Remember that mangled plastic storage bin you had/probably still have full of nail polish?

I've always been jealous.

Over time I have possibly put it to shame.

Once upon a time I got married

I'm jogging down memory lane right now in order to post some photos of one of my favorite projects to date...my wedding. I have a trooper of a husband who actually lived out of state up until 1 week before our wedding. Despite the distance he agreed and insisted that I get everything that I wanted and of course he agreed to do most of the work the 4 days before our wedding. As lucky as I am to have him, I'm even more lucky that he agreed to my warehouse reception idea. :)

The warehouse belonged to my mother's best friend and they lovingly allowed me to host a reception there. The theme of the wedding was "if you can build it, they will come," and so...we built it.

1st glimpse

I've been debating about post #1 for a few days now. The problem is not a lack of inspiration to share, it's an abundance. To begin I'm going to share a few glimpses into the way I live. My "home" or 850 sq ft apartment is my sketchbook. I scribble, erase and color it basically everyday. I'm still working on the big picture but...it's coming along perfectly.

I'm new to blogging and you're new to me.

You can call me Scout.

1. I own more nail polish than there are colors...I have several duplicates.

2. I think eating is the biggest waste of time.

3. I hate to exercise. Any desirable physical activity has to sneak up on me.

4. I've never blogged before and I'm starting only to get myself motivated to find a new job

5. I am the worst at setting goals. In fact whenever I set one...I do the opposite.

6. I never do my hair even though I have a very specific hair style.

7. I'll only purchase an item of clothing if I think it's slightly or really weird.

8. I hate watching tv even though I do it more than most.

9. My husband is my favorite person in the whole world...times a million.

10. I wish I was a better person.

11. I wish I could sing.

12. Going to church is one thing I could never live without.

13. I have a twin sister but she's 3 years older than me.

14. I hate swimming in the ocean even though I live 3 miles from it.

15. I snore like a beast.

16. I give the worst first impressions of myself.

17. I'm think I'm really mean to people, but it doesn't ever seem to bother anyone.

18. I miss my little brother...and his girlfriend.

19. My biggest regret in life was returning a metallic studded green Marc Jacobs bag.

20. I'm terrified to reach my life's potential, but I'm more scared I'll never reach it.

21. I get embarrassed for people on tv even when I'm alone. I physically cringe.

22. I collect books but I don't read them.

23. I have expensive taste but I'm ridiculously cheap.

24. My favorite game in the whole world is played with my entire family and one unsuspecting odd man out who walks into the room when we're all pretending to be asleep.

25. People think I'm unique but I think I'm the most average person on the planet.
